Oops!

Soooo....  I totally jinxed it.  On Friday, we went to the indoor playground and I pretended to not be worried about the germs.  I came home from work on Saturday and Derek told me that Punky had been laying on the couch all afternoon.  She had a bit of a temp, so we gave her some medicine and sent her to bed early.  She seemed fine Sunday but her temp was slowly climbing throughout the day, finally reaching 104.  I stayed home with her on Monday and took her to the doctor.  I was worried about strep throat since we all had it in November and no one had any symptoms.  The quick test came back negative, but a nurse called this morning to tell me that her throat culture was positive for strep throat.  Good thing we started the meds yesterday.  Now I'll cross my fingers that Buddy doesn't get sick since I am pretty sure they were sharing cups/straws/whoknowswhatelse all weekend long.
