This weekend we went to an amazing farm with Grandma and Grandpa. It was so nice out when we left home, but as we headed west, rain clouds started to form. It was a little wet when we got there, but the sun came out by noon. The weather was perfect- not too cold and not too hot (Can you believe it has been in the 80s nearly every day this month?).
There was so much to do at the farm. First, we went through the barn and fed the animals. There were goats, llamas, ponies, bunnies, puppies, kitties, ducks, chickens, roosters, a fawn, a camel, a pig, and a
kangaroo wallaby. Some of the animals were roaming around the entire farm and the kids were able to feed, pet or hold most of the animals. Buddy had no fear and went right up to all the animals. He really enjoyed petting them all. For some reason, Punky was expecting to ride a kangaroo at the farm. Not sure where that came from!
There were lots of other activities too. We went on a pony ride, played a few holes of mini-golf, went on a
tractor train ride, slid down the giant slide about 10 times, and bounced in the inflatable bouncy houses. Punky's favorite thing by far was this trough thing they had set up with water pumps. She pumped and pumped and sent about 200 hundred duckies back and forth.
We had a good day with Grandma and Grandpa at the farm. I think we've found another fun autumn tradition!
